Tim lives in the Fargo-Moorhead area and has worked as a USDA Research Scientist since 2001 on the North Dakota State University campus. Tim started working with wood more than 25 years ago, mostly due to the low quality and yet high cost of furniture available at most commercial furniture stores and driven by the fact that his wife Cathi kept asking for specialized pieces of furniture that were not locally available. It was only within the last few years that Tim found his passion in starting with a standing tree and going through all the processes of working it into a functional piece of natural edge furniture.
